Violet Made of Thorns Review

Violet Made of Thorns Review

I’ve been riding the biggest book hangover for the past month, after finishing The Ballad of Never After. It got to the point that I really wanted to read again, there are so many books I’m excited to read on my tbr, but I just couldn’t pick anything up. In the end I decided enough was enough, I grabbed something I was really looking forward to reading and just made myself read it. Violet Made of Thorns was that book.

It was slow going at first, which had nothing to do with the book itself and everything to do with my brain fighting me. I could tell from the off that Violet Made of Thorns was going to be an excellent book and was determined to enjoy it. By chapter 5 I was already back to ‘maybe just one more chapter’ reading mode.

There were so many fantastic elements to this story, seers, curses, dashing princes, evil witches… There’s also an enemies to lovers vibe between Violet and the prince which is just delicious, I was basically living for any interaction between the two of them.

I was really excited to find that there will be a sequel coming (I’m hoping next summer but there's no official date yet) and will definitely be jumping on that as soon as it comes out.

Have you read this one yet? What did you think?
